I have known Lauren Haring as a colleague and friend since 2004. I have been fortunate in my over 30 years in medicine to work with a number of excellent nurses, however, Lauren is the best. She is very experienced in fertility treatment, highly intelligent, and supremely organized, but that is just the start. She is also the most kind and compassionate caregiver I have ever known. She has an amazing capacity for caring about her patients and will go all out for them. Lauren will tell you the truth but will never stop being encouraging and positive. In my career as a Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility specialist spanning over 2 decades, I’ve had the pleasure of working with many talented nurses. However, few stand out any more so than Lauren Haring. In fact, I’ll never forget our first meeting when we were introduced by my senior partner who added - “Lauren is the best nurse and you can’t have her”. As it turned out, Lauren and I worked very closely together, caring for patients with infertility, managing the practice, and working on special programs such as egg freezing for cancer patients. What I think sets Lauren above the rest is that she is the total package. She is very committed to the care of infertility patients and as such keeps current on scientific advances in the field and how they impact patient care and has a deep understanding of the medical aspects of infertility. Through decades of assisting infertility patients obtain their goal of having a family, Lauren is also keenly aware of the psycho-social aspects of infertility that impact patients.
